Use Crumb with Claude
On the Household plan, anyone in your household can connect Claude to Crumb. Claude can then read your household's recipes, meal plan, shopping list and kitchen, so it can plan meals from what you have and the diets people share, and add them to your plan and shopping list.
Connect Claude
1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and add Crumb. If Crumb isn't listed, choose Add custom connector and enter https://crumb-app.com/mcp.
2. Click Connect and sign in to Crumb with Apple.
3. Crumb shows what Claude can see and do. Click Allow.
Connecting needs the Household plan. Each person connects their own Claude account.
What Claude can see and do
Can see: Kitchen, recipes, the plan, lists, all notes, and who's eating, with diets and foods they won't eat for those who share.
Can add and update: Items on shopping lists, new event lists, dishes and who's eating on empty meals, new recipes and recipe versions, Kitchen items and amounts, and dismissing freezer reminders on the plan.
Never: Deletes anything, edits recipes or saved guests, changes diets or people, or marks meals cooked.

Undo what Claude adds
When Claude adds to a tab in Crumb, a card at the top of that tab says what it did. Tap Undo all to take it back. Anything someone has changed since is kept.
Diets and privacy
Each person chooses whether their diets and foods they won't eat are shared, with the Share with connected AI switch on their profile. When it's off, Claude isn't sent anything about them, and Crumb still checks what Claude adds against their diets. What Claude reads is sent overseas to Anthropic under your own Claude account. More in section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
Turn it off
In Crumb, go to Settings → Household → Connected AI and disconnect, or remove Crumb from Claude's connector settings. Access stops straight away.
Common questions
How do I save a recipe from Safari?
On any recipe page, tap Share, then choose Save to Crumb. The first time, scroll the share sheet to More and switch Crumb on. You can also paste a link inside Crumb: if a recipe link is on your clipboard, Crumb offers it automatically.
How do I invite my household?
Settings → Household → Invite. Share the link (it's valid for 7 days). Anyone who joins shares the whole library, plan, lists and kitchen. Up to 8 members; guests don't count.
Can I import my library from another recipe app?
Yes. Export from your current app as a recipe archive (most apps offer a ZIP/JSON export), then in Crumb tap + → Import a recipe library. Duplicates by title are skipped.
What happens when my trial ends?
You drop to the free plan: full app, up to 2 members, and your 50 most recently added or cooked recipes. Nothing is deleted. The rest unlock the moment you subscribe.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Crumb. Refunds are requested at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I export or delete my data?
Settings → Account → Export account data generates a file of your own data that you can save or share. Delete account deletes your account straight away, and it can't be undone, so export anything you want to keep first. See our Privacy Policy.
Timers aren't ringing.
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Crumb is allowed, and that Focus mode isn't silencing it. Timers keep running in the background, but the alert needs notifications on.
Something's out of sync between our phones.
Crumb works offline and merges changes when each phone reconnects. If you and someone else change the same thing at the same time, the most recent change is kept. If you add different things to the same list, both are kept, so nothing is silently dropped. Pull down on any screen to sync now. Still stuck? Email us with both devices' details.
